Smart, subtle indie jazz that perfectly balances melody and technique.
Ciao Bello is a Neo-Tropicalia duo comprised of Matthew Sandstedt (guitar, vocals) and Katharine Seggerman (drums, vocals) that re-interprets the jazz-inflected pop sounds of the 60s and 70s (bossa nova, psychedelic, etc.) through a modern lens. The resulting music is stripped down, profane and intimate - nocturnal torch songs for the disillusioned that are still, y’know, fun.
